Mark Walker is John Bigelow Professor of History at Union College in Schenectady, New York. His research focuses on the history of science and technology in Germany under National Socialism in comparison to analogous developments in other countries under other political regimes. He is the author of Science and Ideology: A Comparative History (Routledge, 2003), Nazi Science: Myth, Truth, and the German Atomic Bomb (Perseus, 1995) and German National Socialism and the Quest for Nuclear Power, 1939-49 (Cambridge University Press, 1989).
